Scottish Panned Gold Pictures

This picture is of a gold unit from the times of the Scottish King James IV. The image was taken at Wanlockhead Lead Mining museum and forms part of a collection of gold coins as the area was also renowned for gold although to a much lesser degree than the lead.

The coins are likely to have been minted in Edinburgh as most of the coins of that era were.
