Glenwhan gardens Photograph
Scottish Gardens Picture
This picture of Glenwhan gardens, which is a visitor attraction open to the public based in Dunragit, near Stranraer. The gardens were formed from a landscape which wasn't exactly conducive to good gardening. Namely, a boggy area, filled with bracken and gorse and punctuated by rocky patches. However, in 1974 this piece of land was purchased and developed in the early 1980's into the landscape pictured above. Of course the landscape never stays still and is literally growing all the time.
