Boer War campaign Medals

Queen and Kings South Africa Medals

the Boer wars began in 1899 and ended in 1902. The 2nd battalion of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) served throughout the wars, taking part in most of the major actions such as Spion Kop, Tugela, the relief of Ladysmith as well as protecting the rail lines from Boer attack.

The two medals pictures below are the Queen victoria 1899-1901 and King Edward VII 1901-1902 and are oftened awarded (earned) as a pair.

This is a picture of two of the Boer War campaign medals which can be seen at the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) museum situated in Hamilton.
